On 28th July 2011, MAE has the honour to win the “Excellent Brand Award 2011” in the 10th Asia Pacific Entrepreneur Excellent Award. MAE is the 2nd times winners in this award. Another greater honor is Datuk Dr Lim Kee Sinn is appointed as Board of Governors of Asia Pacific International Entrepreneur Honourary Council. The significance of award is to praise the awarder’s achievement in brand building and preservation, innovative marketing and product development. It still further proves that MAE consistently demonstrates a high level of competency, development, expansion potential and growth with its stable, highly recognized and trustworthy brand. It awards the recipients as a role model in this age of e-economy and lead to development of “Asia Pacific International Excellent Entrepreneur Community”. Subsequently, this would enhance the industry’s overall image and encourage others to accept changes and innovate as well as to establish competitive advantages to embrace the challenges posed by the electronic-era.

On 10th Dec 2010, MAE was bestowed with the SME ACHIEVER AWARD in its annual award event ~ SME RECOGNITION AWARD 2010 by SMI Association of Malaysia. The award bestowed to MAE that were formerly family-owned or with micro operations but has successfully made the transition from privately owned companies into public-listed companies. MAE has secured More than 5 years public listing on stock exchange in Malaysia and has continued to excel in their businesses. It reflects the achievements of its founders and serves as a shining example of entrepreneurship, perseverance and strategist.

The 9th RECOGNITION AWARD programme is well-supported by the leading Malaysian Chambers of Commerce, including the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce, the Malays Chambers of Commerce and the Indian Chamber of Commerce.

MAE has recorded another achievement by winning the “Excellence Brand Award 2010” in the 9th Asia Pacific Entrepreneur Excellence Award.

The leadership of the successful entrepreneur will serve as role models and subsequently lead to the development of an “Asia Pacific Excellent Entrepreneurs Community”.

It also creates opportunities for industries to learn & emulate from each other; forming more joint co-operations so as to contribute more significantly towards the economic development of the Asia Pacific Region.

MAE has achieve new milestone by winning The 3rd AEA-International Distinguished Entrepreneur Award 2009, under the category of “Growth Strategy and Innovation”; a recognition for its broken barriers to develop the most innovative new strategy for growth and consolidation.

International Distinguished Entrepreneur Award is presented annually by Global CEO Magazine, an international business magazine principally tailored for CEOs and entrepreneurs. The award is aims to recognize the achievement of the region’s leading business visionaries across all industry sectors. It endorsed and supported by Global Branding Council and Asia Entrepreneurs in Asia Pacific region.

MAE recorded another milestone achievement by winning the KLSE Corporate Merit Award 2003, under the Industrial Sector for 2nd Board. This award is given as the recognition towards the company's exemplary corporate conducts.

A total of 709 public listed companies were subjected to a public opinion poll consisting of professional investment analysts, financial analysts, research analysts, fund managers and financial journalists and information obtained through a specially designed questionnaire.

MAE was awarded with the Enterprise 50 Award for being one the most enterprising and best managed Malaysian Companies in terms of strong financial track record, solid investment in training, research and development, maintenance of strict quality practices and strong management skills.

MAE was converted to a public limited company on 15 November 1997 under the name of Malaysian AE Models Holdings Berhad.

MAE was listed on the second board of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) in 1999. A total of 14,388 applications for 22.81 million shares were received as 4.27 million shares were available for public subscription, representing an over subscription rate of 4.34 times.

In 2003, MAE was promoted to the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia (formerly KLSE).
